James Gigantino (Ph.D. History, 2010, UGA) and author of a new book The Ragged Road to Abolition: Slavery and Freedom in New Jersey 1775-1865, was recently quoted in Salon, an on-line magazine, in yesterday's article "Secret history of a northern slave state: How slavery was written into New Jersey’s DNA" by Robert Hennelly.
